Alyson's Apple Festival & Apple Pie Competition to celebrate the apple harvest!
Alyson’s Orchard will host an old-fashioned apple pie contest, complete with local celebrity judges, shiny ribbons, cider-making and horse-drawn wagon rides. (Anyone wishing to enter a pie into competition should make sure it gets on the table by 12 noon.)
The public will be able to taste too — pies, cider, Alyson’s fruit wines, goat's milk caramel, and apples!!
Ice cream from Walpole Creamery and local BBQ fare will be on sale from 11-3.
WKNE's Live Remote Broadcast will be at the Orchard from 12-2PM, giving away some very neat prizes. (The grand prize is a 2-night stay at Alyson's Foster Farmhouse for up to 8 people -- a $1,300 value!)
Pony Rides from 11-3.
Wine Tasting from 12-3.
PYO Apples, Wagon Rides, Face & Body Painting & Farm Stand shopping from 10-5.
Contra Dance & Silent Auction for the benefit of Sophia's Hearth starts at 2PM.
