Few things let you express yourself like the t-shirt. Everyone wears them, and there is a shirt for everyone. And just like having a favorite pair of jeans, everyone has a favorite t-shirt.
Now there are some great t-shirts printed locally at Beeze Tees! Started by a recent Keene State College graduate, a graphic design major, Beeze Tees is one of Keene’s coolest new business additions.
In a recent exchange with Tim Pipp, the owner of Beeze Tees, we asked him a few questions about how he started out and what his plans are. The following was his response:
I decided to [start the business] because all my life I knew I wanted to start a business and a lot of things lead up to screen printing. I knew it would be a bigger challenge to find a job that I like, and I love to work, so starting my own business just seemed right. I taught myself how to print and got tips here and there from my college coach. I took a risk early and so far it is paying off. I plan on building my business and reputation locally and eventually expand in some way. I work by myself now but eventually want to hire some people to help out. Another reason I chose screen printing is while in college, tee shirts were the big thing. Everyone wanted the newest tee shirt. I was into advertising and I noticed a great way to advertise something was to put it on a shirt. I think people can use my services in a number of ways: from advertising their business to selling them for a fundraiser. The ideas and opportunities are endless and everyday is a new adventure. I love many parts of this job and as I grow it is nice to see clients come back and tell their friends about Beeze Tees.
I am having a booth at Pumpkin Fest where I am partnering with an old college professor of mine. We are selling shirts and other pumpkin stuff. She wrote a pumpkin book which will be featured at our booth. If you are at Pumpkin Fest, check out Pumpkin Junk!
According to Inc. Magazine in their recent Inc. 500 issue, companies 5 years or younger in the United States accounted for virtually all net job growth. That is right, almost all job growth! In fact, a collective 488 of this year’s Inc. 500 honorees added 35,823 jobs over the last three years. May not sound like much until you compare it to this number: The Fortune 500 shed 821,000 jobs in 2009 alone. We are happy that Beeze Tees has already created one job, and has plans for many more!
