The Registration Clerk, under to the Coordinator of Admissions, provides professional interviewing of patients entering the facility for outpatient, pre-admission and admission registration. This position is responsible for capturing and recording accurate demographic and financial data in the appropriate computer systems, working with Case Management to keep payors apprized of patient status changes, and seeking to improve access and service for patients. High School Diploma required. Minimum one-year experience in clerical or billing position with public contact required. Knowledge of medical terminology, health insurance, and up-front collection and credit practices preferred.
